Low Sugar Fruit Drink for the Summer

Who said you can’t enjoy girls night this summer?  Here’s a few low to no sugar summer drinks that won’t hurt your progress and they are alcohol free too!  Have fun and enjoy!

Lemon-Berrilicious low sugar fruit drink:Low sugar fruit drink

2 cups frozen Strawberries

8 large lemons

1/2 gallon water


1 container Crystal Lite ™ Lemon or berry flavor mix (or both and double this batch)

In a blender, mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice and frozen berries.  Add 2-4 cups water and 2 cups ice, blend again until slushy.  Add to the remaining water and add the Crystal Lite™, stir and serve.  Garnish glasses with a lemon wedge.  You can add other berries and increase or decrease the lemon.  If this is too tart, you can add a sweetener of your choice.  A great sweetener to have on hand for this is DaVinci’s Sugar Free Sweetener syrup.  It’s already dissolved into a simple syrup form and will blend nicely.


Watermelon Lemon Aid low sugar fruit drink:

1/3 to 1/2 watermelon (1/3 of large or 1/2 of small to medium sized melon) cut into 2 inch chunks

6-8 large lemons


Blend juice of 1-2 lemons and enough watermelon to fill the blender just over half full and had app. 1 1/2 cups ice. Blend until slushy and dump into a large pitcher.  Continue blending until all fruit has been blended into a slush.  Add sweetener 1/2 to 1 cup sweetener (to taste).  Again, I like to have DaVinci’s Sugar Free Sweetener syrup for adding.  You can add 1/4 to 1/3 cup to each batch as you blend.  This drink tends to loose it’s slushiness pretty quickly due to the melon so it’s best to enjoy with family or friends right away!  If you want this drink to look pretty and last longer, you can blend the watermelon, add it to 1/2 gallon of water, add lemon slices from 2 lemons and squeeze 4-6 lemons into the juice, add sweetener and serve.  Either way is fabulous!
